I am originally from Chicago suburbs and met my husband in Chicago before moving to Tampa, FL. We are now coming back home to settle and grow our family! I would say we are a pretty active and laid back family. Nanny Must be: We are looking for someone who is dependable, patient and engaging with our child(ren). Our current nanny is working to make sure he becomes socialized while staying home vs going to day care and that is something important for us going forward. We believe in open communication with our nanny and expect the same in return. Someone who is willing to take on additional light housekeeping as well as one off nights/weekends occasionally as needed is a plus. We have lived in California for the past 7 years but are returning back to the North Shore this summer where Mom is from. We have spent the past 3 summers in the Chicago suburbs and the kids are very excited about moving and being closer to family and friends that we have in the area. Our oldest is a super easy kid, loves to be active and do arts and crafts. She is really empathetic and a wonderful older sister. Our youngest is incredibly opinionated/strong willed and hilarious. She is very girly and loves nail polish, jewelry, and dresses. Nanny Must be: We have had the same nanny since our oldest was born (6 years!). She became like family and was so wonderful and loving to our kids but also so incredibly helpful to us as parents! The most important thing is to have someone who is kind, responsible, will love our kids, keep them safe and help shape them into good people! Other things we really value are someone who is very reliable and able to be flexible with the schedule. We sometimes need an earlier start or later end to the day depending on work needs and it is so helpful to have someone that is able to accommodate that. Given both kids are in school we also will need someone who is willing and capable of filling a house manager role and helping with things like grocery shopping, meal prep, organizing, and other miscellaneous needs.
