Part Time Nanny in Burr Ridge

Schedule:

Mondays 8:00am to 4:00pm

Wednesdays 10:00am to 6:00pm

Fridays 8:00am to 4:00pm

Those 24 hours are required. If a nanny wants more hours, we can offer 4 additional hours on either Tuesday or Thursday for a total of 28 hours weekly.

Pay: 

$25-$30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications

We offer guaranteed hours and pay via W2 using a payroll service

Mileage reimbursement if nanny needs to drive kids in their own car

About Our Family:

We have two sweet, energetic, playful children. Our three year old will be in pre-school three mornings per week starting in September. Our 16 month old is home full-time. We follow Big Little Feelings and Dr Becky styles of parenting - "gentle" but with appropriate boundaries. They both love music and go to music class. Our 3 year old is more of the stand back and observe type in new situations, but is not at all reserved at home - he loves to play his ukulele, play with play-doh, go in the bounce house or ball pit. Our 16 month old is more bold and daring, much more independent. We have a playground in our backyard and three parks within walking distance. We like to emphasize lots of talking and direct interaction with both kids to help with language development and learning. Mom works part-time; nanny will follow mom's schedule. Dad's schedule is much more variable.

Nanny Must be:

They should first of all be interested in actively playing with our kids, participating in their activities, involved in pretend play...being FUN and LOVING. We want a nanny there primarily for our children's enrichment, happiness, and safety. -We want them to be adaptable to our preferences and parenting style. We approach the kids with love and respect and fun. We have well-behaved kids and do not need a strict disciplinarian.

They must be a non-smoker, have CPR certification, and should be vaccinated for all relevant vaccines -Reliability and promptness are very important.

We are in professions that do not allow us to take last minute sick days or be late. -Need to stay off their phone/screens. We do the same around the kids as well. -They should have experience as a nanny with 2 or more young children (e.g. infants/toddlers/preschoolers)

Must be willing to play at home. Okay for excursions but should not be the type of nanny that has to get out of the house

We do have cameras as part of our security system throughout the house;

Duties:

Laundry Care For Children

Doing the dishes and keeping the children's play areas tidy

Preparing Meals

Potty training

Transporting Children (dropping off and picking up children from school, activities, etc.)

Job Requirements:

Excellent References (2 childcare related)

CPR Certified (or willing to become certified)

Clean background check

Up-to-Date drivers license & clean driving record

 Nannies to Love Requirements:

Passion for working with children on a daily basis

Must have patience

Follow the family’s rules & routines

Respect the family’s wishes
